I will admit to thinking that this was an isolated case. I was very wrong.
Devon
Devon County Council’s Children’s Scrutiny Committee, is convinced that Devon schools will soon join those nationwide closing on Friday afternoons.
They simply cannot afford to give the teachers time to prepare for lessons, or supply teachers to cover while they do.

What next?
A 3 day school week? Breakfast/After-School clubs cancelled? Parent being given a list of resources that they have to provide each week – pens, pencils or books?
And what about parents that work and will need to be home for their children finishing early?
How long before the first school goes bust.. or will they just close?
We want to help
We know it’s not a fix all approach and it needs the school to think a little differently, but it can bring in useful funds.
The me:now Schools Affiliate Program is deliberately designed to be easy for the school or PTA to implement.. with the minimum amount of effort.
Just 10 local businesses using the me:now app could mean an extra £1600 for the school
me:now is going back to school
All it takes is an email to us to get started. mailto:info@menow.co.uk
